Abstract

Geographic Information System (GIS) imaging is an important advancement in data imaging and projection of environmental variables. Traditionally, GIS images were collected with first-hand methods that required individuals to be present at the location being surveyed. Research was conducted to compare traditional surveying methods with newer Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) surveying. With the implementation of UAVs, GIS imaging and surveying can be done remotely from a safe location providing extremely accurate and more efficient projections than previous methods.
