Here we present the successes and challenges of creating online video labs for intro level chemistry courses. During summer research, several labs were selected from the existing lab manual to set up, video record, and edit for use in online courses. This process, while succeeding in creating a final video, was time-consuming and raised concerns about chemicals and tech equipment being in contact with each other as well as the implications of replacing hands-on labs for video labs.
