We have conducted an in-depth research about the 5G architecture and contrasted it with the 4G architecture with intention to demonstrate what drastic changes have occurred and what similar grounds they have. While contrasting the architectures, we have also examined the similarity of their technological aspects as to why certain aspects are still chosen to advance the existing technology now. The main goal for this research is to study more specifically at the architecture to gain better understanding of the connectivity of the technology and introduce some layers of the 5G framework. In addition, we intend to provide our perspectives regarding to what capabilities and improvements the technology can theoretically undergo given that 5G is still under active development at this time.
